Service Description

Monday December 15: 10 AM to Noon Cost: $11 This two-hour class is offered once a month and is for those who want to start a watercolor journal and those who already are watercolor journaling. Each class will focus on something relevant to sketchbooks: drawing, watercolor techniques, text, intention, color, lettering. We will design pages each class but the focus will be on a specific aspect of creating a page. Please come with your sketchbook, which needs to have mixed media or watercolor paper, watercolors, brush, pencil, eraser, spritzer and permanent black ink pen. This class is designed to be fun and relaxing. In a personal journal, you make the rules. It’s easy to experiment , because if you create something you don’t like, you can just turn the page and try again or try something else! Paula Pugh has been journaling for more than 20 years: travel, everyday events, specific subjects, or just for the fun of it. She loves using watercolor with pen and ink to enhance the story. Sometimes she writes a lot with small sketches. Sometimes she just draws on a page with few words. You can find her art work in Whidbey Art Gallery, 220 2nd St. in Langley.
