Service Description

Wednesdays, June 4, 11, 18 & 25 2:30 - 3:30 PM (and you can stay for intermediate class) Cost: $40 for the four week class You can donate the entire $40 before the first class (by credit card at the donate button on createspacelangley.org) or by check or cash at the first class in the donation jar in your classroom. If you can't afford $40, please give as you are able. Your donations ensure the future of Create Space. This class is for people who are new to playing the Ukulele, or getting back to it after putting it down for some time. David will teach the basics so that you'll eventually be able to enjoy his regular class. The beginner class will go from 2:30 to 3:30 each week, and then you are welcome to join the intermediate class from 3:30 to 5. You are welcome to stay for as long as you like in the intermediate class each week. (your hands may get tired after an hour and a half!) It's highly recommended to buy The Daily Ukulele book ($30 from Amazon) if you are able. Also bring a music stand, ukulele, and tuner (if you have one). David Licastro is a celebrated local musician who has been teaching private music lessons and classes since the age of 17. He received a Bachelor of Music degree in classical guitar from California State University Sacramento in 1979. After moving to Whidbey Island in 1980, David has performed in various musicals and groups including the Secrets, Western Heroes, Deja Blooze and Pete. He is currently teaching private music lessons at Blue Sound.
