Two Classes - Four Different Books with Claudia Fuller Mondays, December 7 & 14 1 - 4 PM Cost: $40 included materials Need some stocking stuffers? Join Claudia Fuller for two bookmaking sessions and learn to make 4 different books that lend themselves to countless variations. We’ll make an accordion book, use the Saddle stitch for another, create a notebook using the pamphlet stitch and finish off with a cute little matchbook, perfect for popping in one’s purse. Students will each receive one large sheet of sulphate paper that can be used for the pages in their books. You can use some of the scrapbook paper that is available at Create Space for your book covers or you may bring paper of your own for covers as well as pages. Depending on how fast you work, you may have time to create more than just one version of each book. Claudia Fuller is a mixed media artist who has always enjoyed creating artful items. Ten years ago, she made her first book and hasn’t stopped since. She makes books for gifts and she makes books to fill with her art making. She uses watercolor papers, book board and book cloth for some journals. You can pay by credit card as part of your registration process, or you can put cash or a check made out to WIAC (Whidbey Island Arts Council) in the payment jar in our classroom.
