Tuesdays, January 6, 13, 20 & 27 1:00 - 3:00 pm The Art of Personal Storytelling What matters in life is not so much what happens to us as how we respond to the challenges. What have we learned as we journeyed from there to here, and how can we tell that as a healing story of growth. This four-session class is designed to explore our life stories with curiosity—like an archeological dig—and recast what happened to discover meaning and purpose in our lives. This will be an entertaining interactive workshop that includes storytelling basics, partnered exercises, discussion, and home"play" writing. Diane Wyzga is a storyteller and professional story consultant at Quarter Moon Story Arts. She focuses on empowering people to say what they mean and mean what they say by discovering the words they didn’t know they had. Her professional journey spans decades as a US Navy nurse, corporate business person, educator, lawyer, and story worker. She has backpacked across Europe, climbed the Canadian rockies, mastered the art of flying a plane, and walked the Camino de Santiago—a 500-mile pilgrimage across Spain.
