Service Description
The Art & Craft of Telling Personal Tales - mini version Monday, August 3 1:00 - 4:00 PM Cost $15 You have stories - real, meaningful, engaging human ones - but you may not know how to find and tell your story. Personal stories connect, motivate, inspire, and delight us. Whether you’re leading a team, crafting a speech, advocating for an issue, or simply desire to share the joys of storytelling, this session gives you the craft skills to start. Join us for a fun, practical, 3-hour workshop that shows you how to recognize story in your own experience, shape it using a clear structure, and begin telling it with confidence. You’ll leave with one story taking shape, a reusable framework, and the confidence that comes from having actually done it. Diane Wyzga is a storyteller and professional story consultant at Quarter Moon Story Arts. She focuses on empowering people to say what they mean and mean what they say by discovering the words they didn’t know they had. Her professional journey spans decades as a US Navy nurse, corporate business person, educator, lawyer, and story worker. She has backpacked across Europe, climbed the Canadian rockies, mastered the art of flying a plane, and walked the Camino de Santiago—a 500-mile pilgrimage across Spain. Drawing on these experience, Diane has helped professionals take their stories from a message only they could hear to the broader world where their words influenced juries, built markets, spread ideas and influenced change.
