Play With Clay with Jodi Wallenberg-Cable Mondays, September 9-11 am $40 We will explore making and using stamps as well as using cutters, coils and other hand binding techniques to make little ceramic works of art. Clay and glazes will be provided. Experience working in clay may be helpful but is not necessary. Feel free to bring tools if you have them and an old t shirt or an apron. Jodi Wallenberg-Cable loves clay and fire, smoke and glazes and has been working as a potter for decades. She has had studios on Whidbey, Lopez Island and Pioneer Square. She has built and fired a giant wood kiln and has spent many a Saturday selling pots at markets. These days she works with clay for my own enjoyment. Cost: $40 for the four week class You can pay the entire $40 before the first class (by credit card at the donate button on createspacelangley.org) or by check made out to WIAC (Whidbey Island Arts Council) or cash at the first class in the payment jar in your classroom.
