Tuesdays, Oct 6, 13 & 20 1:00 - 4:00 PM Cost: $50 Material Fee: $10 (paid to instructor at first class) Hand made jewelry is wonderful to weary yourself and to give away as gifts. And making jewelry is easier than you may think. Once you learn the basics, the possibilities are endless. In this class you will learn to use various types of wire to make earrings, bracelets, necklaces, and pendants. We will also design jewelry using beach glass, pearls, wooden beads, and semi-precious gemstones. In addition, we’ll learn how to use macrame, mini-weavings, colorful cloth, and driftwood to make unique and beautiful pieces. You’ll have the opportunity to go deeper with the materials you are most attracted to. All materials will be provided, but you are welcome to bring special beads or pendants you may want to use in making your jewelry. Jackie Amatucci has been silversmithing and making jewelry for over 20 years. She loves sharing her skills and delights in supporting others to make their own masterpieces. Jackie is co-founder of Create Space. You can pay $50 by credit card as part of your registration process, or you can put cash or a check made out to WIAC (Whidbey Island Arts Council) in the payment jar in our classroom. If the full fee is a stretch for you, please pay as you are able - this ensures the future of Create Space.
