Wednesday, November 11 & 18 1:00 - 3:00 PM Cost: $20 In this two-session class we will use old books to make something entirely new. In the first week we will turn a paper back book and a hard cover book into sculptural pieces using folding. In the second week we will alter a hard cover book to make a travel or memory journal. You can find old books to bring in second hand stores. Marcy will also bring a variety of books for you to alter. Marcy Johnson has been collecting and saving all kinds of paper since she was a small child. She has been making paper and books, weaving, spinning, and making jewelry and has been enjoying teaching people these arts for several decades. You will find her beautiful woven goods and jewelry at the Bayview Saturday farmers’ market and in the Artworks Gallery in Langley.
