Life Drawing Session: Short Poses

Service Description

Saturday, November 15 10 am - 12:30 pm (arrive by 9:40 to get set up) Doors will close promptly at 10 am and will only open when the model is on break. We are offering Life Drawing Sessions as a service to artists and drawing students in our community. This an opportunity to draw with a live model. It is not a class, and no instruction will be provided. This "Short Poses" session will include poses ranging from 1 to 20 minutes in length. We have large easels, drawing horses, work tables, and small easels to use in your setup. At the end of the session, please break down and store any equipment you use. Bring your own paper and drawing materials and a drawing board. 24X36 will fit the drawing horses. Standard drawing or water soluable media are preferred. We will experiment with allowing odorless mineral spirits with the containers covered when not actively in use. If you plan to use materials that are messy, the room is carpeted, so you must bring a mat to protect your area. Avoid wearing perfumes or scented body care products. Advance signup is required. If you cannot make it, cancel at least 24 hours ahead by emailing createspacelangley@gmail.com If the session you want is full, check the registration page occasionally to see if any spaces have opened up. Cost: $15 per session includes 9% sales tax. Because of the cost of holding these sessions, we ask you to pay the entire $15 each session you attend. Etiquette: It’s important that we treat the models with respect. They need to be comfortable both physically and in how we interact with them. Please understand that they are putting themselves in a vulnerable position for our benefit. We need to be respectful of any physical limitations the model may have. We will be offering short and long pose sessions on a rotating basis. We're so excited to be making this available at Create Space.
