Life Drawing Session: Long Pose

Service Description

Saturday, October 31 9:45 AM - 12:30 PM Doors will close promptly at 10 AM and will only open when the model is on break. Life Drawing Sessions with live models take place in our new classroom--room 401--across the breeze way from Create Space. The room is large and light and has a carpeted floor. We have large easels, drawing horses and work tables with small easels for your use. This "Long Pose" session includes a series of short warm up poses followed by one long pose. Bring your own paper and drawing materials and a drawing board. 24X36 will fit the drawing horses. Standard drawing or water soluable media are preferred. We will experiment with allowing odorless mineral spirits with the containers covered when not actively in use. If you plan to use materials that are messy you must bring a mat to protect your area. Advance signup is required. If you cannot make it, cancel as early as possible by emailing createspacelangley@gmail.com If the session you want is full, check the registration page occasionally to see if any spaces have opened up. You can pay $15 by credit card as part of your registration process, or you can put cash or a check made out to WIAC (Whidbey Island Arts Council) in the payment jar in our classroom. If the full fee is a stretch for you, please pay as you are able - this ensures the future of Create Space. You can pay through the donate button at createspacelangley.org or bring cash or a check made out to WIAC (Whidbey Island Arts Council) to the session. Etiquette: It’s important that we treat the models with respect. They need to be comfortable both physically and emotionally. Please understand that they are putting themselves in a vulnerable position for our benefit. We also need to be respectful of any physical limitations the model may have.
