Wednesday, November 11 & 18 10:30 am - 12:30 pm Cost: $20 Do you think you want to knit, but don’t want to ask your best friend to teach you all the things she knows about knitting? In the first class you will learn to cast on, knit, purl, bind off. Practice these 4 things at home for the week. The second session you will learn how to increase and decrease stitches. You can learn ribbing and how to seam your samples together. Now that you can do the basics, you can ask your best friend to help you interpret the pattern you want to knit. Or possibly just learn that knitting is not for you…….no pressure. Marcy Johnson has been collecting and saving all kinds of paper since she was a small child. She has been making paper and books, weaving, spinning, and making jewelry and has been enjoying teaching people these arts for several decades. Marcy was the owner and operator of Weaving Works in Seattle’s University District for 50 years. You will find her beautiful woven goods and jewelry at the Bayview Saturday farmers’ market and in the Artworks Gallery in Langley.
