You'll learn to: - Enjoy making art in any form - Build confidence as a creative person - Befriend your inner critic - Cultivate a creative mindset and stronger self-belief - Use creative expression to calm your nervous system and find inner peace Peggy brings decades of experience in creative process facilitation; Caroline brings deep expertise in somatic awareness and gentle movement as a path to embodied knowing. Safe, playful, practical, and empowering — open to artists and total beginners alike. Bonus: you'll leave with tools to bring more heart and meaning into parties, family gatherings, or classes you teach. Peggy Taylor is Co-founder of Create Space; writer, choral director, and creativity specialist. Founder of Open Circle Singers Community Choir and co-founder of three arts-based youth programs (Power of Hope, Partners for Youth Empowerment, Young Women Empowered). Peggy has trained several thousand social service workers in ten countries in ways to use the arts to increase confidence in their creativity and to bring cohesion, joy, and purpose into their work with youth and adult groups. Caroline Liebman has worked as a Dance/Movement therapist for 33 years, in both private practice and clinical settings, weaving together Expressive Arts, Authentic Movement, and Somatic Experiencing. She taught Dance/Movement Therapy for 19 years in the Somatics Certificate Program at Washington University in St. Louis. A long-time student of religious and spiritual studies, Caroline now teaches Authentic Movement, guiding people toward a deeper sense of homecoming and compassionate presence in their bodies — and helping them build an embodied contemplative practice for daily creative and spiritual enrichment. You can pay $65 by credit card as part of your registration process, or you can put cash or a check made out to WIAC (Whidbey Island Arts Council) in the payment jar in our classroom. If the full fee is a stretch for you, please pay as you are able - this ensures the future of Create Space.
