Service Description
iPhone Photography With Charles Terry Wednesdays, December 3, 10 & 17 12:30 - 2:00 Pm Cost: $30 Do you have an iPhone but don't know how to use the embedded camera to its fullest? Charles Terry, an avid photographer for the past 25 years, will teach the basic building blocks of photography plus ways to use the technology on the iPhone to make your photos as beautiful as possible. He will explore composition, light, color, cropping, and using the zoom function. He will then teach how to use photo editing features to turn a regular picture into a stunning photo to share with friends, family, and beyond. This class is designed to increase both your skill and enjoyment of taking pictures. Charles Terry took up photography in 2000 when he and his family moved from New York City to Whidbey. He has had a wide range of careers included law, graduate-level teaching, nonprofit management and philanthropy. Here’s what he has to say about photography: “I love the window that photography provides us to see and share more clearly the richness, deep emotions and diversity of humanity and the beauty of the natural world.” He has particularly enjoyed taking photos of children around the world. He says: “They exhibit so much playfulness, presence and joy, and by living so fully in the moment, they are teachers for us all.” Charles says his intention is to use photography to further his lifelong passion of helping bring about a better world, one that recognizes and honors the beauty and uniqueness of every person and every culture.
