Drawing with Sarah, 201

Service Description

Thursdays, September 3, 10, 17 & 24 12:30 - 2:30 PM Cost: $45 If you have taken Drawing 101 with Sarah and would like to continue, please sign up for Drawing 201. We will continue to build on the tools, materials and ideas introduced in drawing 101. We will work on developing more control of rendering shape, line, texture, form and value and further develop your skill in rendering what you see and in expressing yourself through drawing. If you have not taken drawing 101, that is required before signing up for 201. There is an occasional materials fee for this group, not to exceed $5. Sarah Halpern has worked as a designer all of her adult life, creating designs for museums, toy companies and theme parks. She earned her BFA from the University of Washington and her MFA at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. In addition to working as a designer she has taught Design and Technical Illustration at college level and worked for many years as an Artist In Residence at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. She recently returned “home” to the Pacific Northwest and has been participating in local figure drawing workshops here on Whidbey Island. She is very excited to be part of Create Space Langley. You can pay $45 by credit card as part of your registration process, or you can put cash or a check made out to WIAC (Whidbey Island Arts Council) in the payment jar in our classroom. If the full fee is a stretch for you, please pay as you are able - this ensures the future of Create Space.
