Beyond Basics: Drawing with Sarah 201 with Sara Halpern Thursdays, April 4, 11, 18 & 25 10:00 AM to Noon Requested donation: $40 for the four session class. Materials will be available to buy from Sarah at the class Please donate the entire $40 before or at the first class. You can donate by credit card through the donate button on our website: createspacelangley.org. Or you can pay by cash or check made out to Partners for Youth Empowerment. Place in the donations jar in our classroom. If you are unable to afford the full fee, please donate as you are able. Your donations ensure the future of create space. If you are unable to attend all of the class, please still donate the full $40. We have limited places in this class and your donations pay for our teacher. Have you taken Sarah’s beginning drawing course? Want more? If so, this is for you. Building on the fundamentals that were explored in the introductory class, the exercises in this class are designed to increase your skill. You will tackle more complex drawing challenges and work towards developing a personal visual style. Participants must have taken Sarah’s beginning drawing (Drawing with Sarah 101) before signing up for this class. Sarah Halpern has worked as a designer all of her adult life, creating designs for museums, toy companies and theme parks. She earned her BFA from the University of Washington and her MFA at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. In addition to working as a designer she has taught Design and Technical Illustration at college level and worked for many years as an Artist In Residence at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. She recently returned “home” to the Pacific Northwest and has been participating in local figure drawing workshops here on Whidbey Island. She is very excited to be part of Create Space Langley.
