Thursdays, February 29, March 7, 14,& 21 10 AM to 12:15 PM Suggested donation: $40 Please donate the entire $40 before the first class (by credit card at the donate button on createspacelangley.org) or by check or cash at the first class in the donation jar in your classroom. Please donate the entire amount even if you can't attend all 4 classes. If you can't afford $40, please give as you are able. Your donations ensure the future of Create Space. This class is only for people who have taken a class with Sarah, regardless of your drawing experience. Increase your drawing and sketching ability in this class for novices have taken Sarah's beginning class. Through a series of exercises, we will explore and review the fundamentals of drawing – shape, line, texture, form and shading as well as how to use a range of materials. Each class will explore something different that will exercise and grow your imagination and skill while increasing your confidence and pleasure in drawing. Sarah Halpern has worked as a designer all of her adult life, creating designs for museums, toy companies and theme parks. She earned her BFA from the University of Washington and her MFA at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. In addition to working as a designer she has taught Design and Technical Illustration at college level and worked for many years as an Artist In Residence at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. She recently returned “home” to the Pacific Northwest and has been participating in local figure drawing workshops here on Whidbey Island. She is very excited to be part of Create Space Langley.
