Bursting Botanicals: With Gel Printing
With Hannah Hunter
Service Description
Bursting Botanicals Wednesdays, June 25 & July 2 9:30 - 12:30 Do you love the beauty of botanicals, enjoy experimenting with gel printing, or want to deepen your artistic voice? This workshop goes beyond printing—it's about transforming your prints into richly layered botanical collages. We’ll draw inspiration from Ikebana—Japanese flower arranging—to explore composition and design in fresh ways. You’ll learn which botanicals print beautifully (and why), how to build depth through layering, and how to use your prints as the foundation for expressive, multi-layered collage work. Most of all, this workshop is about following what draws you in—what you love—and using that as a guide to create something truly your own. You'll leave with at least one finished botanical collage on a wood panel, ready to display. Hannah Klaus Hunter is a Langley artist who uses mono printing, collage and botanicals from the natural landscape to create pieced paper collages that draw our attention to the natural world. Her work has been exhibited widely both in the United States and abroad and is in the collections of many major American hospitals. Hannah's work can be seen at https://hannahklaushunter.com and on Instagram at https://www.instagram.com/hkhunterarts/
