Making Dolls for Chiapas

The Create Space has been abuzz on Friday afternoons with Whidbey women sewing life-size baby dolls for rural health providers in Chiapas, Mexico. The project coordinated by Gretchen Lawlor has coalesced over 40 women who have handcrafted 35 beautiful dolls that will soon be on their way to Mexico. Putting our hearts and hands together for a project like this is a perfect example of the dream we hold for Create Space. If you have similar group projects in mind, please let Jackie Amatucci know: bebear@whidbey.com
