What does it mean to be creative? To lead a creative life? In this 4-session class, celebrated abstract artist Patricia Akerman will guide us in tapping into our natural capacity to express ourselves with joy and confidence. We’ll participate in creative exercises that take us beyond judgement into creative free flow. We’ll use large paper, paints, inks, and unexpected objects as brushes to create our own unique art pieces and to find our own visual style. We’ll learn how to bring our senses, bodies, and emotions into the process of creation. This is a great class for anyone who would like to get started with painting. It’s also for writers, crafters, dancers, and others who want to find new doorways into unleashing their creative flow. No previous experience. Come expecting to surprise yourself with your own creativity.
Class size is limited to 10 students
All must have proof of vaccination and wear a mask
All materials will be provided
