About the event
Bring your own special fabrics or use the fabrics you created in the Block Printing or Fabric Collage classes to make a zipper pouch. These pouches are fully lined and padded so you can use them to hold a kindle or iPad, pencils, makeup, or travel items. You’ll learn to sew in a zipper and you’ll walk out of class with a finished pouch ready to use! (4 hours) (sewing machine skills required) Cost: $25 per session
Luanne Seymour is an artist and teacher who happens to love pies. Before she moved to Whidbey Island she was a Senior Creative Director at Adobe Systems for over 25 years. That was amazing — but the best job she’s ever had is teaching art. Luanne has been teaching art, design, photography and sewing for more than half her life. She currently runs her own Etsy shop (https://www.etsy.com/shop/LuanneSeymourDesign) where she sells handmade bags made from up-cycled materials. She also writes a blog (http://luanneseymourdesign.wordpress.com) about her experiences as an artist and Etsy shop owner. She still likes to take photos and you can see those on her Instagram feed: https://www.instagram.com/luanne.seymour/.
