Make Your Own Jewelry

A two-week class

Wednesdays, 1-3 pm on March 30 & April 6

Making jewelry is easier than you may think. Once you learn the basics, the possibilities are endless. In this class You will learn to use various types of wire to make earrings, bracelets, necklaces, and pendants. We will also design jewelry using beach glass, pearls, wooden beads, and semi-precious gemstones. In addition, we’ll learn how to use macrame, mini-weavings, colorful cloth, and driftwood pieces to make unique and beautiful pieces. You’ll have the opportunity to go deeper with the materials you are most attracted to.

Jackie Amatucci has been silversmithing and making jewelry for over 20 years. She loves sharing her skills and delights in supporting others to make their own masterpieces.

Jackie is co-founder of Create Space Langley. She loves teachings and sharing her skills with others. As a high school teacher for 30 years, her love of teaching and learning has never wanted. Jackie was a teaching artist at Power of Hope Teen Camps for many years. She currently is a mentor and teaching artist for Seattle-based Young Women Empowered. She regularly taught sewing, mixed media art, and jewelry making at Create Space Langley prior to the covid shut down.

Limited to 8 students

All must have proof of vaccination and wear a mask

All materials will be provided, but you are welcome to bring special beads or pendants you may want to use in making your jewelry.
